Hi everyone! So I realize it has been awhile since my last blog because I have simple just been so consumed with my job at Mall Of America! I figured I should post a quick blog to catch up on my life. For starters I have to say I have never been happier with a job in my life, which reassures me that marketing is a perfect career choice for me. Every assignment given to me excites me and I am eager to learn everything I can about the marketing trade.
Working at Mall Of America we often joke that you must be very flexible and if someone comes to you with a big smile run the other direction. There have been many days when I have the entire day planned out and when I arrive at work that day I quickly find out I have a whole new schedule for the day. I have proven time and time again that you really must be flexible to work at Mall Of America. The joke about being approched by people with a big smile is my favorite because I love it when those people come to me with a favor to ask. Those are usually the favors of completing odd jobs that make working here so special (ie: getting married for German TV, modeling fashions on live television, or other random assignments you wouldn't get asked anywhere else).
As much as I enjoy the business aspect I truly believe I am so happy working at MOA because of the wonderful people who work there. Everyone is more than friendly and I have felt welcomed and included since my first moment there. I have worked with many great people over the years but my coworkers at MOA top all of the experiences I have had in the past!
My position is set to end in the middle of July so currently I am job searching to find a company and job position that I will love as much as my job at Mall Of America. I will keep everyone posted as my journey continues.
Until next time,
Samantha Phillippi
