Today I had the honor to do an appearance with our lovely Miss Minnesota, Siri Freeh, and Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen, Bailey Wachholtz. The two traveled to Oakdale to volunteer with me at my work’s Jump Rope for Heart event.
Jump Rope for Heart teaches children the importance of physical fitness while at the same time they learn how to support a deserving cause. Leading up to today’s event students took pledges and collected money for America’s Heart Association. This event means so much to me because for the last three years my personal platform was all about physical fitness and how to live healthy. Jump Rope for Heart is an example of what I like to refer to as fitness for a cause; the children get a great work out while supporting a deserving organization.
I had so much fun today and loved having some bonding time with our amazing Miss MN and Miss MN Outstanding Teen. A HUGE thank you to Siri, Sarah Morreim, Bailey and Pam Wachholtz for taking time out of all of your busy schedules to come help make Eagle Point’s Jump Rope for Heart such a success!
Until next time,
Samantha Phillippi
