Happy Miracle Treat Day everyone!! This is one of my favorite days of the year because one, I love supporting Children’s Miracle Network and two, because I love Dairy Queen Blizzards. When you buy a DQ Blizzard on Miracle Treat Day a portion of your purchase is donated to Children’s Miracle Network; our CMN hospital here in MN is Gillette!
I was at the Lino Lakes Dairy Queen during the lunch rush where I volunteered with the nicest DQ crew I have ever met. The manager, Lorraine, not only was kind but truly knew her customers; some she even welcomed by name. This was also the cleanest and best looking Dairy Queen I have ever been in. Way to go Lino Lakes DQ- YOU ROCK!
I was sent to this specific location so I could be there to welcome CMN Champion Ally. Ally is a cheerleader and has a contagiously sweet personality; it was easy to see why she brought a crowd of “Team Ally” people to Dairy Queen for Miracle Treat Day. While we waited for our Blizzards to be made the DQ staff invited Ally and her friends behind the counter to see how the magic happens. After learning how Blizzards are made Bryan, who works for the owner of 14 DQs in MN, stopped by to visit with Ally and brought her lots of fun presents. I had such an amazing day meeting new people and getting to know members of “Team Ally”. I enjoy DQ Blizzards sooo much I ate a Chocolate Xtreme Blizzard at lunch and got an Oreo Blizzard for dessert later that night- hey it’s for a good cause right?! ;-)
Until next time,
Samantha Phillippi
